1. Can I use wooden or metal spatula?
To best protect your wok and extend its life, we recommend using only silicone spatulas. They’re gentle on non-stick coatings and help avoid accidental scratches during cooking.
2. Can it be used on induction or ceramic cooktops?
Yes, our wok are generally compatible with induction and ceramic cooktops. However, performance may vary depending on the cooktop’s heating frequency and surface area. As long as the heating zone is larger than the pot’s base, it should work fine.
If you receive the product and find it incompatible, our customer service team will assist you.
3. Will the wok’s exterior bottom turn black?
This is often related to the type of stove used. Gas stoves, in particular, may cause yellowing or blackening due to chemical impurities in the gas or clogged burners. This does not affect performance.
We recommend cleaning the exterior after each use and using BBELL cleaning paste every few months for deep cleaning. For stubborn stains, apply baking soda mixed with white vinegar or BBELL cleaning paste, let sit for 10-15 minutes, then scrub with a soft cloth.
4. Will the food stick after prolonged use?
Sticking depends on various factors like oil amount, heat level, cooking method, and ingredients. With proper oil coverage and correct use, sticking should not be a significant issue.
5. Will the coating peel? Is it a coated wok?
BBELL’s Oil Control Wok features simulated blue diamond technology that enhances the wok’s hardness and heat resistance, making it more durable and non-stick. It does not contain PTFE, PFOA, or PFAS harmful substances and is certified with the SGS safety standard.
Peeling is rare with proper use, and large area peeling is covered under warranty.
6. What is the oil control wok made of?
The inner layer is evenly heat-conducting aluminum alloy, the middle layer is reinforced blue diamond material, and the outer layer uses Swiss micro-nano laser technology for hardness and heat resistance. The outer bottom part is stainless steel. It is free of harmful substances and SGS certified.
7. Can I wash the wok while it’s hot?
Let it cool naturally first. If in a hurry, rinse the bottom to cool it before cleaning. For continuous cooking, wipe with a kitchen towel between uses.
8. Is it dishwasher safe?
No, as dishwasher detergents and additives may damage the pot. Hand washing is recommended.
