Yes, the micro-pressure lid can be opened at any time to check taste or for seasoning. The glass lid also allows you to see inside. However, to best utilize the pot's micro-pressure function, try to minimize how often you open the lid during cooking.

Under normal cooking conditions (keeping contents within the 5.5L max line), this shouldn't happen. When cooking thicker foods or those that expand (like congee/beans), reduce the quantity appropriately (do not exceed 3.5L). After boiling, you can also reduce to medium-low heat or slightly open the lid.
